Lamborghini Takes To The Water!

Growing up, everybody dreamed of  one day owning a nice car and a lamborghini was the quintessential exotic to have in your dream garage.  Personally, as a kid, I had a poster of a 1995 Lamborghini Countach on my wall.  I used it as a motivational tool to work hard so that one day I might own one.   To some, it is a symbol of wealth or social status and to others, it is a freakishly expensive toy that is an all around driving experience.  The exotic car is featured in rap videos, movies (or cinematic adventures in the words of Dane Cook) and TV shows.  For years, the brand of Lamborghini has been able to maintain its place atop the world’s most desirable automobiles.  Now, they are taking it one step further and have ventured to the water.  Behold, the Lamborghini Concept Yacht.

The yacht is an engineering marvel.  The interior boasts a lucious cockpit along with an owner’s suite, guest bedroom, and a protected lounge.  The true beauty of this luxurious marine animal lies in its exterior.  To achieve optimal performance and aerodynamics, the designer constructed the boat out of kevlar and carbon fiber.  In case your wondering, yes it replicates the the thrill of driving a Lamborghini Gallardo or Reventon on the highway because it is powered by not 1, but 3 high performance motors.  Add that to my bucket list please.  I have already sent an inquiry into Lamborghini to let me test drive the yacht in order to write an unbiased and professional review.  I will update you on the status as I am notified.

Geese & Deer & Pigs…Oh My!

Being that this website is centered around providing people with a short break of entertainment to get them through the day, I thought it would be appropriate to share the entertainment I have gotten the past year while at work, all of which have something to do with wild animals.  A little bit of quick background is necessary – I work for a company outside of a major metropolitan area and our campus backs up to a major highway.

Encounter #1

My office is located on the second floor of our building and I have three huge 10′ x 4′ windows that stretch from floor to ceiling.  The view out of the windows is of a service driveway that leads to the first floor maintenance area.  One day, while I was at lunch, I came back to find a certain buzz around the office and one of my windows had a large hole in the middle of it.  After only a couple of minutes, I found that a large goose was attracted to his own reflection and had flown full speed into the gigantic window.  It hit with enough force that it sounded like a car crash.  The goose broke the glass (which is covered with a thick tint) far enough so that his head poked through into the office.  Of course I feel bad for the guy, even though now we needed a new window and there was glass everywhere…but on the other hand…really?  Maybe he was flying drunk and if that’s the case, my feelings of sorrow are long gone.

Encounter #2

Again, my office is located on the second floor and on the outside we have a one and a 1/2 foot ledge that runs around the entirety of the building.  It was early, probably around 8:45 and out of the corner of my eye, I thought I saw something run past my window.  Being that is was early and I was tired, I just figured I was seeing things and went back to work.  Then, I hear my coworker from the next office over cry out, “Oh…My…God.”  I wasn’t sure what was going on and then I saw two deer run straight past my window.  Yes, there was 3 deer running around on a tiny ledge outside my window.  One false move and these things would fall about 20 feet to pavement.  The deer couldn’t figure out how to get down and they were following whoever was in front.  So for about 2 minutes, they ran back and forth on the ledge while freaking out and banging into our windows.  The funniest was seeing them try and turn around…they pulled this difficult maneuver off by jumping onto the others back and somehow falling off on the oppposite side.  Finally, they managed to figure out how to get down and they were off like a bat out of hell.

Encounter #3

Another early morning as I was walking into work, I see something out of the corner of my eye again in the adjacent parking lot.  I was still waking up and for some reason the thought of a large sheepdog popped into my head.  At first, my mind registered this as being completely normal and then logic set in…why is that sheepdog off of his leash…not to mention in a suburban landscape.  I decided to check it out and realized that it was a potbelly pig with her two babies.  This pig was huge! I looked around to see if anyone else saw this and found out I was the only witness.  I had to take a video because there would be no way anyone would believe me.  As I took the video, I swear the Mom growled at me or made some kind of aggressive noise.  I took that as a sign to stop and go inside…not because I am a coward or have a fear of pigs…but I didn’t want someone to pull into work and see me being chased across the parking lot by a giant pig and her two piglets.  Anyway, I went in and shared the video and brought a good story to the office.  Turns out the pigs got loose from a stray farm in the woods and ventured down to terrorize normal working class Americans.
