The featured band for this week is The Helio Sequence. I had the priviledge of seeing them live as they opened for Keane at a concert in Philly. A two man band from Portland, Oregon. The duo manages to bring a lot to the table in terms of a unique melody enhanced by multiple sounds. The drummer is vastly entertaining through his facial expressions and drumming style. I definitely encourage you to check them out, both their newer stuff as well as their earlier albums.

If you didn’t check out last weeks tunes by Dan, I highly recommend his selection of Brandon Flowers new single – Crossfire. Brandon is the lead singer for The Killers and the song is legit. If any of you watch Entourage, perhaps you will recognize the La Roux song, it is the ending credits for Episode 84.
