Bonjourno. Another installment of Thursday’s Tunes. We start off this week with a little Paul Oakenfold & Bloc Party to celebrate today being my brother’s birthday! They are two of his favorites and have quickly become two of mine as well. Happy Birthday Bro!
Paul Oakenfold – Southern Sun
Bloc Party - Pioneers
The Boxer Rebellion – Spitting Fire
Linkin Park – Wretches & Kings
Julian Plenti – Only If You Run
Interpol – Success
Passion Pit – Sleepyhead
Embrace – Target

A couple of notes on this week’s selection to expand your musical knowledge:
Look for The Boxer Rebellion on the soundtrack of the new movie, “Going the Distance”, which stars Justin Long, Drew Barrymore, and a personal favorite of mine, Charlie Day (Charlie from Its Always Sunny).
Linkin Park’s new album “A Thousand Suns” drops this week. Check it out.
Julian Plenti – Lead singer of Interpol
Embrace – Awesome British band with great style
Bloc Party – By far…my favorite band – These guys are unique, creative, and groundbreaking!
Hello Again! Another installment of 10 Tunes on Thursday to entertain and brighten your work day. Each one of these songs is located in the MP3 Player on the righthand sidebar.
Static Revenger & RichardVission – I Like That
The Helio Sequence – Keep Your Eyes Ahead
Aqualung – Something to Believe In
Empire of the Sun – Standing on the Shore
Helen Stellar – This Time Around
Tiesto ft. Cary Brothers – Here on this Earth
Bloc Party – One More Chance
TV on the Radio – DLZ
Umbrellas – The City Lights
George Strait – River of Love
The featured band for this week is The Helio Sequence. I had the priviledge of seeing them live as they opened for Keane at a concert in Philly. A two man band from Portland, Oregon. The duo manages to bring a lot to the table in terms of a unique melody enhanced by multiple sounds. The drummer is vastly entertaining through his facial expressions and drumming style. I definitely encourage you to check them out, both their newer stuff as well as their earlier albums.
Enjoy the tunes! Oh, and the featured album of the week is A Fine Frenzy’s Bomb in a Birdcage. Check it out if you’re into a beautiful female voice or beautiful music in general.
Another installment is here! 10 more songs to grace your ears.
Crookers ft. Miike Snow – Remedy
Death Cab for Cutie – My Mirror Speaks
Beastie Boys – Girls
La Roux – In For The Kill (Skream Remix)
One Republic – Good Life
Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros – Home
The Temper Trap – Fader
Arcade Fire – Rebellion (Lies)
Joe Budden – Fire
Keane – Perfect Symmetry
If you didn’t check out last weeks tunes by Dan, I highly recommend his selection of Brandon Flowers new single – Crossfire. Brandon is the lead singer for The Killers and the song is legit. If any of you watch Entourage, perhaps you will recognize the La Roux song, it is the ending credits for Episode 84.
The Temper Trap is an awesome new band coming into their own with unique singles, check out their most recent album!
